Terms of Use

Last updated: 15 September 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of BTECH School (the “Service”), an online exam-practice platform operated by Bailey’s Technology (“BTECH”, “we”, “us”), Shop 15 Double V Plaza, 109 Main Street, Ocho Rios, St Ann, Jamaica. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who can use BTECH School

The Service is for students preparing for Jamaican and Caribbean examinations, and for their parents, guardians and teachers. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the permission of a parent or guardian. A child under 13 should use an account created and supervised by a parent or guardian.

2. Your account

Give accurate information when you register.
Keep your password or login code private — you are responsible for activity on your account.
Tell us promptly if you think your account has been misused.

3. Free plan and subscription

BTECH School is free to use: daily practice, every lesson and the practice papers cost nothing, with no card and no trial period. To go Unlimited - unlimited practice, full written papers marked by AI, and brand-new mock exams - there is a subscription of J$4,000 per student per month, or a lower price with a valid code. Payments are taken by card through Paddle.com, our reseller and merchant of record, and are charged in US dollars (US$25 a month, or US$19 a month with a valid teacher code; the J$ figures are a guide). The subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel, which you can do at any time from your Subscription page; access then continues to the end of the month already paid for. We will never charge you without your agreement.

4. Fair use

You agree not to:

share or publish our questions, mark schemes or model answers outside the Service;
cheat, or use automated tools, in timed or competitive activities;
harass, bully or impersonate anyone;
post unlawful, offensive or harmful content;
interfere with the security or operation of the Service, or copy or scrape it.

5. Our content

Questions, passages, mark schemes, explanations, illustrations and software on BTECH School are owned by or licensed to BTECH and protected by copyright. You may use them for your own study. You may not copy, sell or republish them without our written permission.

6. Your answers

You own what you write. You allow us to store, process and mark your answers, and to use them in anonymised form to improve our questions and marking.

7. Automated marking

Written (Paper 2) answers are marked automatically against CXC-style mark schemes with the help of artificial intelligence. Marks and feedback are for practice and guidance only. They can sometimes be wrong, and they are not official examination results. If you think a mark is wrong, contact us and we will review it.

8. Not affiliated with CXC or the Ministry

BTECH School is an independent resource. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) or Jamaica’s Ministry of Education. Our practice papers are original and modelled on the published syllabuses and exam formats; they are not official examination papers.

9. Availability and changes to the Service

We aim to keep the Service available but cannot guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or stop features.

10. Suspending or closing accounts

We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by the laws of Jamaica, BTECH is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for examination results, arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under Jamaican law that cannot be excluded.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you on the Service. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica, and the courts of Jamaica have jurisdiction.
